OIL FILTER PRESS

Compare
In summary, the Oil Filter Press by Pranav International functions as a pivotal component in the oil refining process. Through a combination of filtration, pressure application, and impurity capture, it effectively separates and removes unwanted elements from the crude oil extracted by the Oil Expeller. This results in a higher-quality, refined oil that is ready for various applications, contributing to the success of your oil processing endeavors.

Filtration Chamber Setup:

The Oil Filter Press is designed with a series of vertically arranged chambers. Each chamber contains a filter plate covered with filter media, such as fabric. These plates and filter media work in tandem to capture impurities and particles from the crude oil.

Oil Inlet and Distribution:

The crude oil, extracted from the Oil Expeller, is directed into the Oil Filter Press. It enters the filtration chambers through an inlet port, and a distribution mechanism evenly distributes the oil across the filter plates.

Filtration Process Initiation:

As the crude oil enters the chambers, it begins to flow through the filter media. The filter media act as porous barriers, allowing the oil to pass through while retaining solid impurities and contaminants.

Impurity Capture and Accumulation:

As the oil passes through the filter media, impurities such as suspended solids, plant debris, and other particulate matter are captured and trapped on the surface of the filter media. This process effectively removes these unwanted elements from the crude oil.

Buildup of Filter Cake:

Over time, the captured impurities form a layer known as the “filter cake” on the filter media. This cake further enhances the filtration efficiency by acting as an additional barrier to prevent finer particles from passing through.

Pressure Application:

Hydraulic or mechanical pressure is applied to the Oil Filter Press. This pressure aids in the separation of the oil from the filter cake and forces the filtered oil to flow out of the chambers.

Refined Oil Collection:

The purified oil, now free from most impurities, exits the filtration chambers through an outlet port. It is collected and directed to storage tanks or further processing stages, ensuring that the oil meets the desired quality standards.

Cake Removal and Cleaning:

Periodically, as the filter cake accumulates and reduces filtration efficiency, the filter plates are separated. The accumulated filter cake is then removed, and the filter media can be cleaned, replaced, or refreshed as needed.

Continuous Filtration:

The Oil Filter Press allows for continuous operation, ensuring a steady flow of filtered oil. The process is repeated as crude oil is continuously introduced into the filter press, and refined oil is continually extracted.
